Job summary

Panera Bread in Festus, MO is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead a bustling bakery-cafe and inspire a dedicated team. You’ll partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, delight guests, and grow the business while owning hiring, training, and development at your location.

You’ll use your 1+ year restaurant management experience, ServSafe skills, and business acumen to run great shifts, coach staff, manage costs, and uphold Panera’s standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Strong business acumen and ability to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Support GM by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while motivating the team.
• Manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, standards, and guest service expectations.
• Partner with the GM to develop managers and reinforce Panera's values & behaviors.
• Ensure guests are delighted by food, service, and team quality.
• Build relationships to foster long-term guest loyalty.
