Job summary

Panera is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager in Marietta, GA to support the General Manager in delivering exceptional bakery-cafe operations. You will coach and develop the team, manage staffing and scheduling, and drive guest satisfaction and profitability.

In this role you will uphold food safety standards, lead by example, and foster a culture of hospitality and Panera warmth. Flexibility to work nights and weekends is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active part in career path toward General Manager and willing to relocate where possible.
• Certified Manager Program is completed.
• Demonstrated ability to drive positive results and manage through and with teams.
• Able to pass background check and meet minimum age requirement (18).
• ServSafe certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality bakery-cafe operations and guest satisfaction.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, people development and succession planning.
• Assist General Manager in key decisions and problem solving.
• Model professional behavior to cafe team and guests.
• Uphold Food Safety standards and quality of product/service.
• Improve cafe operations and comply with policies and regulations.
• Coach and develop team members to ensure high service standards.
• Oversee labor, costs and inventory to maintain profitability.
• Own QHC processes, with recognition and career pathing.
