Job summary

Panera LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager Lead to guide a beloved neighborhood bakery-cafe to success. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, hire and train the team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences daily.

You’ll inspire your team, manage costs, and foster a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust at the Moreno Valley location. Strong leadership and flexibility are essential for this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager by making key decisions and solving problems.
• Plan and manage staffing, shift scheduling, and succession planning.
• Hire, on-board, and train new team members while energizing and celebrating the team.
• Manage performance to achieve bakery-cafe goals, standards, and guest service.
• Partner with General Manager to develop managers on processes and Panera values.
• Ensure guests are delighted with food, service, and team performance.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace and comply with regulations.
