Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an amazing team and a beloved bakery-cafe to sweet success. You’ll inspire your staff, partner with the General Manager in overseeing operations, delight guests daily, and own hiring, training, and development at your location.

This role requires 1+ year of restaurant management, ServSafe certification, and a track record of driving results. You’ll schedule shifts, coach team members, and balance costs while upholding Panera’s Guiding

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years of age.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen required.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support General Manager in daily bakery-cafe operations.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, and people development.
• Hire, onboard, train new team members and motivate the entire team.
• Manage performance to meet goals and guest service standards.
• Develop managers and Panera's Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Ensure policies, safety standards and regulatory compliance are followed.
• Balance costs and inventory while building a culture of warmth and teamwork.
