Job summary

C&K Market Inc. is hiring a Bakery/BBQ Clerk to serve customers in our Deli, Bakery and BBQ sections. You will assist with product selection, prepare and package items, and operate the cash register.

You may fry, bake, slice, and assemble foods, stock stations, and maintain cleanliness. Outdoor conditions apply when working weekends, with occasional holidays.

Responsibilities

• Use hand, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
• Work in a standing position from 4-8 hours a day.
• Use good suggestive selling techniques to educate customer to products in Bakery and Deli.
• Locate products for customers, prepare to desired request, price, label and package product.
• Keep workstations clean and sanitary.
• Slice meats, cheeses, ladle salads out, obtain doughnuts, pastry, cakes from cases for customer.
• Restock products as needed and garnish as needed.
• Cook BBQ menu items and serve them to customers.
• Be outside in cold and hot weather including rain, snow, sun.
• Other duties as assigned

BAKERY/BBQ CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Obtains requested Deli or Bakery items for customers, wraps or packages items, uses cash register to total order, accepts payment and makes change. While working in Deli, will fry chicken, jo jo's, burritos, put chicken on rotisserie in oven for baking. Also makes sandwiches, salads, pizzas, popcorn, cotton candy, slice meats or cheese on a slicer. While working in Bakery will slice bread and package bakery products. While working on BBQ will cook menu items and serve customers. Also stocks and cleans Deli/Bakery areas as needed.
