Job summary

C&K Market Inc. is seeking a BBQ Clerk to run the BBQ outside, making Tri-tip, ribs and a variety of sandwiches as ordered by customers. You will keep the BBQ clean, promote items with samples, and assist customers with selections.

You may also assist in Deli/Bakery, wrapping items and stocking shelves to ensure fresh displays. Responsibilities include frying chicken, jo jo's, burritos, placing chicken on rotisserie, slicing meats, cheeses, and packaging bakery products.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

BBQ Clerk will Run the BBQ outside, they will make Tri-tip, Ribs and a variety of sandwiches as ordered by customers. the BBQ clerk will be responsible for keeping the BBQ clean and promoting the items to customers by talking with customers and providing samples. Obtains requested Deli or Bakery items for customers, wraps or packages items, While working in Deli, will fry chicken, jo jo's, burritos, put chicken on rotisserie in oven for baking. Also makes sandwiches, salads, pizzas, popcorn, cotton candy, slice meats or cheese on a slicer. While working in Bakery will slice bread and package bakery products. Also stocks and cleans Deli/Bakery areas as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use hand, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment.
• Work in a standing position from 4-8 hours a day.
• Use good suggestive selling techniques to educate customer to products in Bakery and Deli.
• Locate products for customers, prepare to desired request, price, label and package product.
• Cook chicken, burritos and other hot foods, make sandwiches, salads, pizzas, popcorn, cotton candy.
• Slice meats, cheeses, ladle salads out, obtain doughnuts, pastry, cakes from cases for customer.
• Use store intercom to alert customers of Bakery/Deli products.
• Keep work stations clean and sanitary.
• Restock products as needed and garnish as needed.
• Receive money and make change.

• Any duties and responsibilities of the cake decorator.
