Northgate Gonzalez Markets in Stanton, CA is seeking a Bakery Baker for our new store #53. You will prepare dough, bake breads and pastries, and help maintain quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of bakery experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and follow health-safety guidelines. We offer flexible schedules and an associate discount of up to 20% for you and your household.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred, but not absolutely required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in full bakery operations and procedures.
• Able to calculate percentages and ratios for dough measurements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for procedures and safety notices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and follow dress regulations.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and checking merchandise and vendor invoices.
• Rotate bakery ingredients (FIFO) and maintain inventory control.
• Prepare dough and scratch baking mixtures according to recipes.
• Operate ovens and mixers and load/unload products safely.
• Adhere to health regulations and safety practices in all duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the bakery area.
