Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market is seeking a bakery team member in Southern California. The position involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance, assisting with receiving shipments, and ensuring product quality and proper rotation of bakery items.

You will work under the Bakery team leader, follow safety procedures, and contribute to efficient production and customer service. Prior bakery experience and health department training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred, but not absolutely required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in full bakery operations and procedures; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Health department training required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and observe company dress regulations; wear approved hat/hair net and uniform.
• Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise; verify deliveries and inspect product quality and condition.
• Rotate bakery ingredients and merchandise using oldest stock first (FIFO) per policy.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled by Bakery team leader.
• Prepare dough and scratch baking mixtures per established procedures and recipes.
• Operate ovens, mixers, sheeters, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
