Job Description: Bakery/Baker-Clerk (Finance)

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bakery and retail experience
  • Proficiency in a second language (speaking, reading, or writing)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Current food handlers permit upon employment
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role
  • Must be 18 or older
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store services.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of counters, cases, and coolers.
  • Observe scheduled operating hours.
  • Meet daily production goals for baked goods.
  • Maintain a sanitized work area.
  • Plan and organize tasks, set goals, and prioritize.
  • Assist with receiving and unloading merchandise.
  • Develop product knowledge to respond to customer inquiries and suggest products.
  • Prepare special orders as requested.
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes.
  • Package, label, and inventory ingredients and finished products.
  • Ensure product quality and freshness.
  • Use equipment properly, including refrigerators, ovens, and scales.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels.
  • Report discrepancies and safety issues to management.
  • Adhere to safety, food safety, and loss prevention policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure store standards and safety.
