Job summary

ShopRite of Montgomery is hiring a Baker in the Bakery Department. You will assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, bake, mix dough, ice, pack, and fill pastries and bread items to meet quality standards.

The role requires the ability to read and follow recipes, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied temperatures while ensuring a clean and safe work area. Customer interactions are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized Bakery area and adhere to QA standards.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations and product preparation.
• Prepare trays, portioning, icing, packaging and filling of pastry and bread items.
• Follow recipes and maintain safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
