Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in dough preparation, ingredient measuring, and product assembly for bakery items. You will monitor temperatures, assist with orders, and help maintain a clean, organized department.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate order handling, and adherence to food safety procedures while supporting team members in daily bakery operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintaining records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.
