Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is looking for a Bakery Clerk to assist in bakery operations, prepare dough, and provide quality customer service. You will monitor temperatures, help with inventory, and keep the department organized.

The role requires basic kitchen skills, adherence to safe food handling, and the ability to work with customers in English and Spanish. Training and opportunity for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
• Maintaining records of customer orders
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-ograms and schematics
