Sprouts Farmers Market in La Mesa, CA is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Clerks and support the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will ensure product quality, merchandising, and safe, efficient department performance.

The role requires at least two years in retail grocery with supervisory experience; you will work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' retail grocery experience.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional overhead movements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure quality of Bakery products.
• Ensure safety, health, and sanitation guidelines are followed by the Bakery team.
