Job summary

Giant Eagle in Wexford, PA is seeking a Bakery Team Member to bake and prepare fresh items while delivering exceptional guest service. You will work with the bakery team to ensure only the freshest products are available for guests.

The role emphasizes following scratch recipes, maintaining safety and sanitation, and assisting with backroom and display operations. Apprenticeship opportunities are available for growth.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months Bakery experience or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
• Prior experience in Bakery or related industry.
• No High School diploma required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow scratch procedures to prepare and bake products.
• Prepare product and form product to specifications as required according to scratch recipes.
• Bake prepared product using appropriate time and temperature as specified by recipe.
• Prepare Bakery products according to established recipes which include scratch recipes.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in all tasks and areas.
• Answer questions and resolve problems to ensure guest requirements are met.
• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and helping them locate products.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floors, etc.
• Accurately record special orders on Bakery products to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in other areas as required.
