Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Baker to support bakery operations in Johnstown, PA. You will help decorate, bake, and prepare pastry items while delivering excellent guest service and learning Clerk and Cake Decorator tasks.

Experience in a bakery environment is helpful, but training is provided. You’ll work with a team to maintain safe, clean bakery areas and ensure fresh products are available for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or related industry is preferred.
• Ability to provide excellent guest service and work well in a team.
• Must understand basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to scratch procedures.
• Prepare product to specifications and bake as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the bakery area.
• Assist in stocking, labeling, and rotating bakery products.
• Provide exemplary customer service and answer questions about products.
