Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Team Member to ensure fresh, delicious bakery items and exceptional guest service. You will work as part of a team to bake products, follow scratch recipes, and help customers find and enjoy quality bakery goods.

Primary duties include preparing and baking items, maintaining cleanliness, and restocking displays while prioritizing safety and product freshness. 18+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months bakery experience or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
• Experience in bakery or related industry preferred.
• No high school diploma required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work and prepare products to scratch recipes.
• Bake products at correct times and temperatures according to recipes.
• Follow established scratch recipes to produce bakery items.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Greet customers and provide excellent guest service.
• Rotate product and ensure freshness for bakery cases.
• Record special orders accurately for customization.
• Assist in maintaining bakery backroom, cooler and freezer as needed.
