Job summary

Old Village Bakery is a scratch bakery in the Mount Washington Valley, hiring a full-time baker. Shifts begin between 4am and 6am. Some baking experience and knowledge of breads, sourdoughs and laminated doughs is desired, but we are willing to train the right person.

Regular weekends and holidays are required. Our baking team offers over 55 years of combined experience and a recently expanded production space. Hourly wage is commensurate with experience, plus tips and a generous food benefit.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking or willingness to train.
• Familiar with sourdoughs and laminated doughs.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and stay physically capable.
• Weekends and holidays required.
• Shifts start between 4am and 6am.

• Bake breads and pastries as part of production.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery.
• Follow recipes and quality standards for consistency.
• Assist with opening shifts and daily prep.

Old Village Bakery is a scratch bakery that has been a treasured part of the Mount Washington Valley community since 2002. We are dedicated to using high quality ingredients, local when possible, and making the most delicious breads and pastries we possibly can. Our baking team combined has over 55 years of baking experience and we have recently expanded our production space. We are looking to add someone to our growing team who shares our commitment to baking and community. We are hiring a fulltime baker with shifts beginning between 4am and 6am. Some baking experience and knowledge of breads, sourdoughs and laminated doughs is desired but we are also willing to train the right person. Baking at OVB offers the unique opportunity to learn and practice the art of both bread and pastry production. Weekends and holidays are required. Candidate must be reliable, organized, detail oriented and physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs. Hourly wage commensurate with experience, plus tips and a generous food benefit.
