Job summary

Safeway in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, is seeking a friendly Baker to prep breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts from established recipes. You’ll mix, shape, and bake products, decorate specialty items, and keep the bakery area clean and organized.

You’ll work closely with team members to plan daily production and ensure product quality. Customer service is part of the role—assist shoppers with questions, take special orders, and contribute to a positive store experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products; decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients; keep cases fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Collaborate with bakery team to plan daily production needs and keep operations running smoothly.
• Assist customers with product questions, take special orders, and help create a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced environment.
