Job summary

Campbell’s Resort is seeking skilled bakers to join our busy kitchen team. You will design, bake, and refine bread, cakes, pastries, and related items, ensuring quality checks on ingredients and finished products.

The role supports a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and presentation. Applicants should be able to start early (as early as 4am), be 21+, and possess a Food Handler's permit within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Properly bake and prepare products following production area guidelines

• Check stock with supervisor for accuracy of levels
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, appliances and equipment
• Arrive on time and be ready to work with a clean uniform
• Follow written job standards and be a role model for staff
• Help control waste, labor and food costs
• Read and understand B.E.O. sheets
• Assist Head Baker in cooking and preparing Bread, Cakes, Pastries and other items

Reports to: Baker, sous chef, banquet chef, executive chef

Pay rate: $18.00 to $19.00 DOE

Position type: Variable hours – health benefits after 1 year and 1456 hours worked.

• Able to begin shift in early morning, as early as 4am when necessary.
• Working with the prep cooks, line cooks and banquet team while maintaining a lever of professionalism.
• Good listening, and written and English verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle deadlines and maintain composure under stress.
• A current Food Handler's permit is required within 14 days of hire.
• Self-motivated: can find work to do without constant supervision.
• Able to maintain a positive mental attitude.
• Detail oriented is a must.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, lifting and stooping, stair climbing.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.

• Assist the Head Baker in cooking and preparations of Bread, Cakes, Pastries, and other items.

We are searching for skilled, creative Bakers who strive to provide excellent baked items and service in an efficient and professional manner. The Baker will design, execute, and improve recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients, and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation and process orders from customers.

The work environment can be loud and busy. There are many kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors.

Physical Demands:

The employee is required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend and stoop. The position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers, and visually inspect, including close and distance vision. The position requires ability to use arms, hands and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends and holidays are also necessary. Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
