Job description

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to consistently show up for early morning shifts(4AM).
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with the management and baking team
  • Works with team to ensure all inventory of baked goods is maintained and demand is met.
  • Has the ability to properly use all baking and kitchen equipment to ensure that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions and recipes.
  • Measures or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduated containers.
  • Prepare garnishes as needed for baked goods.
  • Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures the proper storage and refrigeration.
  • Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum by utilizing proper quantities and rotating products.
  • Utilizes any and all leftovers into usable products.
  • Cleans, breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including: ovens, mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, pans bowls and refrigerators and ensures entire baking space is clean everyday.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional baking experience
  • Current SERVSAFE certification or has successfully completed a sanitation course within the past year preferred but not necessary
  • Associate’s degree in hotel or institutional food preparation preferred
Compensation

Starting pay is based on experience and availability. Pay can be hourly or salary based on commitment.
