Job summary

Provider Contract Food Service in Riverside, CA is seeking a bakery preparation worker to assist in producing breads, pastries, and cakes by following established recipes and handling large quantities for service.

You will measure ingredients, monitor ovens and mixers, and decorate finished products while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a busy kitchen environment.

Summary

The primary objective of this position is to assist in the preparation of a variety of baked goods by following existing recipes and preparing large quantities of breads, pastries, and cakes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Follow existing recipes
• Measure, weigh and prepare ingredients
• Knead, roll, cut, and prepare dough as needed
• Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment
• Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards
• Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and tools
• Monitor items during baking
• Decorate, glaze, apply icing, and prepare toppings for baked goods
• Operate slicing, cutting, and wrapping equipment
