Job summary

Levy Restaurants in Madison, WI is hiring a Baker for Camp Randall Stadium and Kohl Center Arena. You’ll contribute to high-quality baked goods, follow recipes, and ensure safety standards during events.

The ideal candidate has baking experience, valid ServSafe and Alcohol Safety Certifications, and can lift 20–50 lbs. Shifts start early (4am) or midday (12pm) and require availability for UW–Madison football games and arena events.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, positive attitude in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality baked goods following standardized recipes and schedules.
• Serve or prepare baked goods with correct portion sizes and presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safe food-handling procedures.
• Organize refrigerators and storerooms; ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report issues to supervisor.
• Attend safety meetings to stay updated on food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team and management to ensure smooth operations during events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support event success.

Job Summary

Summary: Join our team as a Baker and contribute to providing high-quality baked goods at Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center Arena. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll ensure that each dish meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, all while following federal, state, and corporate food safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions, meeting production and service schedules.
• Portioning & Presentation: Serve or prepare baked goods for transportation, ensuring the correct portion sizes, optimal temperatures, and appealing presentation.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Clean kitchen areas after food preparation and service, maintaining high cleanliness standards and adhering to safe food-handling procedures.
• Food Storage & Organization: Keep refrigerators and storerooms organized and ensure that all food and supplies are stored according to safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment according to established procedures. Report any issues with equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Safety & Compliance: Attend in-service and safety meetings to stay up-to-date with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with coworkers, managers, and administrators to maintain smooth kitchen operations and deliver quality food service.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of food service during events.

Qualifications:

• Baking Experience: Previous baking experience in a professional environment is required, with a solid understanding of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Certifications: Must have or be willing to complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
• Positive Attitude: A friendly, team-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and remain on your feet for long hours during events.
• Availability: Must be able to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center Arena.
• Schedule: Ability to work first and/or second shifts beginning at 4am and 12pm. Includes one weekend day.
