Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Levy services at Camp Randall Stadium and Kohl Center Arena in Madison, seeks a Baker to produce high-quality baked goods for events. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure proper portioning, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced arena environment.

The role requires prior baking experience and ServSafe/Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain. Availability for early shifts during UW-Madison football games and related events is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous baking experience in a professional environment is required.
• Must have or be willing to complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation following standardized recipes and schedules.
• Portion and present baked goods for service and transport.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards.
• Store and organize refrigerators and storerooms per safety standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report issues immediately.
• Attend safety meetings and stay updated on food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties to support events.

Summary: Join our team as a Baker and contribute to providing high-quality baked goods at Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center Arena. As part of this dynamic team, you’ll ensure that each dish meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, all while following federal, state, and corporate food safety guidelines. Target start date: 8/15/26

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation:Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions, meetingproductionand service schedules.
• Portioning & Presentation:Serve or preparebaked goodsfortransportation, ensuring the correctportionsizes,optimaltemperatures, and appealing presentation.
• Kitchen Cleanliness:Clean kitchen areas after food preparation and service,maintaininghigh cleanliness standards and adhering to safe food-handling procedures.
• Food Storage & Organization:Keep refrigerators and storerooms organized and ensure that all food and supplies are stored according to safety standards.
• Equipment Maintenance:Operateand maintain kitchen equipment according to established procedures. Report any issues with equipment or accidents to the supervisorimmediately.
• Safety & Compliance:Attend in-service and safety meetings to stayup-to-datewith food safety regulations and best practices.
• Team Collaboration:Work effectively with coworkers, managers, and administrators tomaintainsmooth kitchen operations and deliver quality food service.
• Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of food service during events.

Qualifications:

• BakingExperience:Previousbakingexperiencein a professional environmentisrequired, with a solid understanding of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
• Certifications:Must have or be willing to complete ServSafeFood Handler CertificationandAlcohol Safety Certification.
• Positive Attitude:A friendly, team-oriented approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to lift 20-50 lbs andremain on your feet for long hours during events.
• Availability:Must be able to work all UW-Madison Football games anda majority ofevents at the KohlCenterArena.
• Schedule:Ability to work first and/or second shifts beginning at 4am and 12pm. Includes oneweekend day.
