The Baker will perform various tasks to ensure that fresh baked goods are prepared and available for use by various venues at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.

Responsibilities

• Using appropriate techniques, mix, bake, or prepare ingredients to produce baked goods and dessert items.
• Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
• Organize and rotate stock in pantry.
• Present new menu ideas and suggestions.
• Ensure compliance with all company, county, state, and federal food service laws and requirements.
• Attend all department team meetings, workshops, and training sessions as delegated by supervisor.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months previous professional baking experience in a full service establishment.
• Food Handler's Card required at hire (willing to allow two weeks from date of hire to obtain valid Food Handlers Card).

Skills/Knowledge:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency in correct heating, cooling, reheating, and sanitation procedures.

Physical Demands
