Job summary

Pop-Up Bagels -Tribeca is seeking a Bagel Sous in New York to support Shop Leaders and drive culinary and hospitality excellence in our scratch kitchen. You will master each bagel station, train teammates, manage prep, inventory, and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role is hourly, with growth opportunities in a dynamic team. Flexible scheduling supports both part-time and full-time hours as we continue to deliver top-quality bagels to our guests.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership in a restaurant/hospitality environment.
• Food Safety Certification is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate correct culinary standards, warm hospitality, and a great attitude.
• Train teammates on stations, seasonal recipes, kitchen standards, and procedures.
• Assist in managing prep lists, waste logs, and food inventory with the Bagel Chef.
• Delegate tasks and manage deployment and breaks for the team.
• Open and close the restaurant using checklists and clear communication.
• Lead pre-shifts and contribute to the Chef’s agenda.
• Ensure food presentation and order accuracy for dine-in, pickup, and delivery.
• Address guest concerns, support digital ordering, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a minimum “A” health grade by following food safety standards.
