Job summary

PopUp Bagels in New York is seeking a Bagel Sous to support shop leaders in delivering culinary excellence in our scratch-based kitchen. You will train, lead shifts, and ensure tasks are completed on time while upholding DoH standards.

You will manage prep, inventory, and food quality, partnering with the Bagel Chef to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations. This hourly role offers growth within PopUp Bagels.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership in restaurant/hospitality.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate culinary standards and hospitality.
• Train teammates on stations, seasonal recipes, and kitchen procedures.
• Manage prep lists, waste logs, and food inventory with the Bagel Chef.
• Delegate tasks and follow deployment and breaks per schedule.
• Open and close the restaurant using checklists and effective communication.
