Job summary

Novolex is hiring a Machine Operator in City of Industry, CA to operate bag making machines and produce high-quality paper bags, sheets and liners. You will follow safety procedures, verify orders, and meet quality standards while maintaining a clean workspace and complying with SQF requirements.

The role offers second and third shift options, with starting pay between $19.81 and $21.85 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all safety procedures
• Read and verify order sheets
• Understand print job requirements and quality issues
• Perform quality checks on finished products
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Produce and pack quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices
• Maintain Food Safety and Quality in compliance with SQF Standards
• Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork
• Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production
• Complete set-up and/or change-over activities with minimal assistance in allotted time
• Participate in Preventive Maintenance Activities as assigned
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
• Actively engage in safety programs
