Job summary

Mount Southington Ski Area in Plantsville, CT seeks a Bag Check Attendant for the seasonal guest services role. You will greet guests, store and retrieve bags, and maintain a secure bag-check area while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include verifying claim tickets, answering questions about facilities, and ensuring safety and organization. Must be available on weekends, nights, and holidays; background check will be completed.

• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period.
• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership.

The Bag Check Attendant provides secure, friendly, and efficient storage services for the guests’ personal belongings while delivering exceptional guest service. This role helps ensure a positive guest experience by maintaining an organized bag check area and safeguarding guests’ items throughout the day.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Ability to work in an indoor location subject to temperature fluctuations, drafts, and intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions due to frequent operation of exterior doors
• Ability to work in busy, sometimes noisy environment
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: $17.50/hour
