Job summary

HomeGoods is seeking a Store Associate to execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing and a positive customer experience. You’ll work as part of a team in Deptford NJ, maintaining a clean, organized store and supporting management with priorities.

You bring strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask, including lifting heavy objects. Flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promotes honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality.
• Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing processing of merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
• Ensures Associates complete tasks according to store plan and priorities.
• Monitors productivity and coaches as necessary.
• Organizes and rotates back stock for replenishment.
• Maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Maintains backroom organization and cleanliness; adheres to safety and recycling programs.
