Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage backroom accuracy, inventory integrity, and vendor receiving execution. You will ensure product dating compliance and maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventory under SOPs.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced grocery environment, and a commitment to guest confidence in product freshness. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years of experience coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills and multitasking.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers to oversee inbound and outbound deliveries and inventory planning.
• Monitor and maintain days-on-hand targets for all departments.
• Maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and comply with laws.
• Enforce store receiving protocols including vendor security.
• Verify deliveries, truck seals, and invoices for accurate processing.
• Partner with distribution and merchandising teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as primary contact for the Maintenance Dispatch Center to track repairs.
• Provide courteous interactions with vendors, team members, and guests.
