Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to lead backroom accuracy, manage inventory integrity, and execute vendor receiving. You will ensure product dating, SOP compliance, and operational excellence, anchoring our store’s accuracy and guest confidence in freshness.

You will collaborate with managers to maintain days-on-hand targets, manage beer/wine/spirits inventory, and enforce receiving procedures while supporting overall store performance and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• 1–2 years coordinating teams.
• Ability to work in cold environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound/outbound deliveries, documentation and item follow-ups.
• Monitor days-on-hand targets and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain beer, wine, and spirits inventory records and legal compliance.
• Enforce receiving protocols and vendor security.
• Verify deliveries, seals, and invoices for accurate processing.
• Collaborate with distribution/merchandising to resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as main contact for Maintenance Dispatch Center for repairs.
• Provide courteous interactions with vendors, team members, and guests.
