Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Background Check Specialist to oversee end-to-end screening for employees and contingent workers in a regulated environment. You will initiate, monitor, review, and adjudicate investigations to ensure compliant onboarding and activation.

You will utilize First Advantage, HRIS, and other onboarding tools to review criminal and non-criminal findings, OFAC checks, fingerprinting, and adverse media, while partnering with Compliance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition to uphold

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field.
3+ years in background screening or HR operations.
Experience with background screening platforms.
Knowledge of FCRA and sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities

Administer end-to-end background screening for employees and contingent workers.
Initiate, monitor and track investigations within onboarding timelines.
Coordinate screening by worker type, function, geography, and regulations.
Ensure all screening components are completed before clearance or activation.
Review criminal and non-criminal findings, OFAC, adverse media, and fingerprinting results.
Apply adjudication guidelines and escalate findings per policy.
Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, HR, Talent Acquisition, Security, and stakeholders.
Support adverse action processes under FCRA and regulations.
Maintain audit-ready documentation and SOPs.
