Job summary

Stradit LLC seeks a Background Screening Specialist to manage end-to-end background checks for employees and contingent workers in a regulated environment. You will initiate and track screenings in line with onboarding timelines and SLAs, coordinating requirements based on role, geography and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (HR, Business, Compliance, Criminal Justice)
• 3+ years of background screening or onboarding operations experience
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments preferred
• Experience administering background screening programs and adjudication workflows
• Familiarity with First Advantage or similar background screening platforms
• Knowledge of screening regulations (e.g., FCRA) and privacy requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
• Experience with HRIS/onboarding systems (Fieldglass, Oracle) preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end background screening processes for employees and contingent workers using First Advantage and related systems.
• Initiate, monitor, and track screenings in line with onboarding timelines and SLAs.
• Coordinate screening requirements based on worker type, role, geography, and regulatory obligations.
• Ensure all required screening components are completed before clearance is granted.
• Review and assess screening results including criminal history, OFAC, adverse media, and fingerprinting.
• Apply adjudication guidelines and escalation protocols.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, and stakeholders on escalated or sensitive cases.
• Support adverse action processes in compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Maintain audit documentation and ensure SOPs/workflows are current.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction.
• Participate in QA reviews and compliance audits with reporting and documentation.
• Provide regionally aligned support across multiple business units.
