OWASA is seeking a Backflow and Cross-Connection Coordinator to oversee our program and ensure compliance with regulations. The role involves monitoring installations, updating GIS, and coordinating with field and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant plumbing and cross-connection knowledge.
• Backflow prevention and ORC certifications preferred or obtainable.
• Experience managing projects or programs in related field.
• Ability to interpret regulations and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of local/state/federal water quality rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Backflow/Cross Connection Program to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Survey customer services to assess hazard levels for water quality.
• Track installations and changes; update GIS with location details.
• Respond to inquiries about the Backflow program.
• Review plans to verify compliance with codes and manuals.
• Maintain BSI compliance tracking system.
• Coordinate with ORC and Customer Service to enforce policies.
• Provide backup for answering calls and dispatching field staff.
