DeKalb County in Decatur, Georgia, seeks an individual to assist in enforcing compliance with water backflow regulations and maintain the potable water distribution system. You will inspect facilities, test backflow systems, and ensure all components are functioning properly.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and four years of relevant experience. Additionally, you must possess a valid Georgia driver's license and obtain a Backflow Device Technician certificate within one year of employment.
The purpose of this classification is to assist in enforcing DeKalb County's potable water distribution system and ensuring compliance with water backflow regulations.

High school diploma or GED; four years work experience involving water operations, water laboratory or water related construction/maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license; must obtain a Backflow Device Technician certificate within one year of employment and maintain such certification during employment in this classification.
