DeKalb County Government is seeking a Water Compliance Technician in Decatur, Georgia, to assist in enforcing water distribution regulations. The role involves inspecting facilities, maintaining backflow components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Candidates should have a high school diploma (or GED) and four years of relevant experience. A Georgia driver’s license and backflow certification are necessary within the first year of employment.
Salary Range: $23.26/hour - $37.44/hour

The purpose of this classification is to assist in enforcing DeKalb County's potable water distribution system and ensuring compliance with water backflow regulations.
High school diploma or GED; four years work experience involving water operations, water laboratory or water related construction/maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license; must obtain a Backflow Device Technician certificate within one year of employment and maintain such certification during employment in this classification.
