Xage Security, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer – Backend with 2–5 years of experience to design, build, and scale secure backend services for our Zero Trust platform. You will own features from design to deployment, collaborate with product and security teams, and push performance while operating across edge and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes Go proficiency, comfort with distributed systems, and a startup mindset in a hybrid Palo Alto setting with visa support and strong growth.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade backend code.
• Strong experience in Golang is desirable; deep expertise in C++, Rust, Java, or Python with a path to Go is acceptable.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, asynchronous programming, and scalable distributed applications.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, and software design pattern knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build & Scale: design and implement robust, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Own Features: take ownership from design through testing and deployment.
• Optimize Performance: write clean, concurrent code for edge and cloud environments.
• Collaborate: work with product, security researchers, and frontend teams to ensure secure UX.
