Xage Security, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to help build and secure our zero-trust products. You will work in a lean team, touching multiple parts of the stack and delivering production impact from day one.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with senior engineers, and ownership of features from design to deployment in a security-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent practical experience/portfolio).
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend or systems language (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, C++, or Java).
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS and how the web works.
• High autonomy, ownership mindset, and adaptability to changing product needs.

Responsabilités

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code for core security products.
• Assist in implementing security-first protocols, encryption standards, and secure data handling.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, rapid sprint planning, and code reviews with senior engineers.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve product bugs or security vulnerabilities identified by tests or feedback.
• Rapidly learn new tools, languages, and security frameworks as the product evolves.
