Job summary

Deploy is building an intelligence infrastructure platform that enables developers and enterprises to access AI models. The role focuses on launching new products, writing clean code, and operating in production at scale within distributed backend systems.

You will design and implement core services, APIs, and tooling while emphasizing high code quality, testing, and secure software practices. The position reports to the engineering organization in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field.
• Several years of experience building web applications.
• Experience or interest in Node.js development.
• Experience implementing highly-available distributed systems/microservices.
• Experience building scalable backend APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Knowledge of monitoring/alerting platforms is a plus.
• Commitment to code quality, automated testing, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement or improve backend features including REST APIs and microservices.
• Write scalable, secure code usable across platforms.
• Contribute to product and backend system improvements.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes and security.
• Practice test-driven development.
• Debug production issues across services and stack levels.
• Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
