Job summary

Auria Space is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Command and Control System (CCS-C) Sustainment and Resiliency (C-SAR) for current and future satellites. The role focuses on backend services and integration frameworks using Java, C++, and Python in a Linux environment, contributing to secure, scalable DoD systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel.
• Strong development experience in Java, C++, and Python in Linux-based environments.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Familiarity with build systems (Maven, Gradle, CMake) and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Proficiency with backend testing (JUnit, PyTest, Google Test).
• Experience with Scrum/Agile practices and DevSecOps concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers for high-quality integration and delivery.
• Develop software components that interact with satellite ground systems and secure communications protocols.
• Optimize performance and reliability through well-structured code, profiling, and debugging.
• Support secure coding practices and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
