Job summary

Auria is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead engineering efforts for DoD and Space Force programs. The role is remote with a preference for Colorado Springs, CO, and requires active U.S. government clearance and 10+ years in related DoD programs.

The team focuses on cloud infrastructure, mission-specific software, MBSE-based architectures, and secure, scalable platform solutions using modern Agile practices. Candidates will work across ground and space components to deliver high-assurance systems.

Qualifications

Active U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
10+ years' experience on DoD/federal programs including software development and system integration.
Proficiency in C++, C#, Java or Python with common IDEs.
Experience MBSE using Cameo/SysML or similar MBSE tooling.

Responsibilities

Engage in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to production support.
Develop prototypes and proofs‑of‑concept; participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing and debugging.
Produce system documentation and clearly communicate technical details to stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineers and architects to identify improvements and enhance software functionality.
