Job summary

Auria Space is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the HADES program at Kirtland AFB, NM. This full-time, on-site role involves designing backend services with Java, C++, and Python, and collaborating across DevSecOps, systems engineering, and testing teams for ground-system integration.

Ideal candidates will hold a BS in Engineering (or related field) with 6+ years of experience or a MS with 4+ years, possess US citizenship, and have an active DoD TS clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements and secure coding practices.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance and US citizenship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components.
• Collaborate with frontend, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers to ensure integration and delivery.
• Develop software to interact with satellite ground systems and secure communications protocols.
• Support Agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Perform peer code reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions for scalability.
• Conduct testing procedures, bug verification, and beta support.
