Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics, building scalable systems for millions of users. You will ship fast, ensure correctness, and automate repetitive work.

Remote team across the globe, with an emphasis on thoughtful design, reliability, and collaboration with product, mobile, and web groups to keep our platform ahead of user needs.

Qualifications

• Backend experience with TypeScript/Node.js is required.
• Hands-on cloud experience across GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Strong autonomy and ability to own services end-to-end.
• Experience with AI agents and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve performance, cost, and reliability of existing services.
• Validate changes with robust checks before shipping.
• Automate repetitive tasks to free up developer time.
• Collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to keep backend ahead.
