Speechify seeks a Platform-focused Software Engineer to strengthen the backend powering payments, subscriptions, auth, and the public TTS API across web and apps. You’ll own services, optimize latency, and help scale a global distributed platform.

You’ll collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to keep the architecture ahead of user needs, automate repetitive work, and ensure correctness. The role offers autonomy, stock options, and a chance to impact accessibility for learners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP; working knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Ability to take ownership and improve existing systems.
• Experience using AI agents to automate tasks.
• Strong debugging with logs and DB state.

• Design, build, and own payments, subscriptions, auth APIs.
