Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Proven track record building internal platforms or shared services.
• Experts in distributed systems with emphasis on consistency, availability, latency.
• Strong in a major backend language (Java/Go/Scala/Rust/C++).
• Knowledge of high-throughput messaging/streaming (Kafka/Pulsar/NATS).
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write technical design docs.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms and services.
• Improve request routing, traffic management, data fan-out, caching layers, and durable event processing.
• Ensure latency targets and minimize operational toil in high-traffic environments.
• Lead multi-team platform initiatives with stakeholder management and trade-off decisions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to code/design reviews.
