Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer on the Stablecoin team within the Developer product group.

You will build backend services powering stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, integrating external APIs, and contributing to rewards and growth systems across Retail, Exchange, Prime, and Custody. You will own end-to-end delivery from design to production, support smart contracts for mint/burn, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and improve reliability with well-tested code

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building backend services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to blockchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar EVM chains).
• Experience evaluating, integrating, and operating third-party APIs and external partner systems.
• Ability to deliver features end-to-end with autonomy, from design through deployment and ongoing operation.
• Familiarity with distributed systems patterns and writing high-quality, well-tested production code.
• Uses generative AI responsibly, with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services that power stablecoin issuance, onboarding, and operations, including integrating external partner APIs with internal systems to launch new international stablecoins.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from technical design through production, working closely with product managers, designers, and tech leads on scope and implementation.
• Support the smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard stablecoin supply, working with senior engineers on design and security review.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Stablecoins UX, Growth, and Ecosystem to deliver rewards, incentive, and conversion features that drive stablecoin adoption.
• Execute reliability and quality improvements across the stablecoin platform, writing well-tested code and contributing to observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
