Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Stablecoin team within the Developer group to build and scale CCS, enabling partners to launch branded, USDC-backed stablecoins on Coinbase's infrastructure.

You’ll own services and on-chain contracts powering issuance, reserves, minting, burning, and rewards distribution, in a role blending backend engineering and smart contract development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production backend services.
• Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity or similar) in production.
• Familiar with service-oriented architecture at scale and onchain security tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard custom stablecoins; ship changes securely.
• Build and scale backend services powering onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and tech leads to ship features quarterly.
• Drive architectural decisions across backend and smart contracts for security and scalability.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and raise the bar for operational excellence.
