Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a backend engineer on the Money Movement team to design and build backend systems for stablecoin-based payments, including pay-ins, payouts, deposits, and withdrawals. You will enable fast, secure transfers and partner APIs, while balancing speed, security, and regulatory needs.

You will own key projects end-to-end as DRI, build scalable services, and collaborate with Product, Design, Infra, and Compliance to raise the technical bar.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend software engineering experience in fintech/payments/crypto.
• Proficiency in Go or Java and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience as DRI for end-to-end technical delivery.
• Experience with blockchain or crypto technologies.
• Ability to write design documents and communicate trade-offs.
• Ability to use AI responsibly to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end projects as DRI from design to production.
• Build backend systems and APIs for stablecoin-based payments.
