Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Professional or project-based software development experience using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with Spring Boot or comparable framework.
• Familiarity with one relational and one NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, software testing, Agile delivery, and SDLC.
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver independently with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, and modular or microservice-based applications using Python and/or Java.
• Build and enhance web application capabilities using JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and supporting server-side technologies.
• Design data access layers and integrations for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, defensive validation, and appropriate error handling.
• Create unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, defect resolution, release readiness, and production support.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines across cloud or Linux environments.
• Use Git, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Jira to support development, documentation, testing, and delivery tracking.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and communicate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, dependencies, and progress.
