Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a software engineer to join the Collections team within Repayments to build a robust platform for delinquent loan recovery. You will design and implement backend services in Python or Kotlin, and work with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes to ensure high availability.

You will break down projects, collaborate with product managers, design, and analytics, and contribute to on-call reliability while growing your technical and leadership skills in a remote-first,

Qualifications

2.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems in Python or Kotlin.
Familiar with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
Ability to translate simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested code.
Strong communication, ownership, and code-review skills.

Responsibilities

Break down projects into tasks and deliver in multiple phases.
Collaborate with product management, design & analytics during ideation and decisions.
Support operations and on-call efforts, monitoring metrics and reliability.
Contribute to team growth and participate in interview processes.
